Mourinho Open the Door to Ibrahimovic
Manchester United’s tactician Jose Mourinho has indicated that Zlatan Ibrahimovic may be back for the club next season.
Central recover from a knee injury, Ibra is now a free agent after Red Devils decided not to renew his contract at the end of June.
The Swedish striker proved all his doubts wrong by scoring 28 goals in all competitions last season, which is also his debut season in the Premier League.
United then recruited Romelu Lukaku from Everton for 75 million pounds, but Mourinho indicated that Ibra could return in 2018.
“We spend a lot of money to buy strikers, because with a striker, you have to spend a lot of money or you can not get it at all,” Mourinho told local media.
“And we did it because of what happened to Zlatan and we can not let ourselves not have a top striker in the first six months of the competition.”
